A user within RevCent is a sub-user of a main RevCent account. A user account can be created as a Manager with administrative permissions, or an Employee with specific permissions and visibility restrictions.
View all users by clicking the Users link on the sidebar in the Organizations dropdown or go to https://revcent.com/user/users
Create a new user by clicking the Create New User button when viewing all users or go to https://revcent.com/user/new-user
Edit an existing user by clicking the edit button when viewing all users.
Set a username for the user. This must be unique.
Set a password for the user
Set an email for the user. This must be unique.
Set the first name for the user.
Set the last name for the user.
Set the status for the user.
Select the user type. Depending on user type, permissions need to be set or are granted automatically.
Options:
Assign the user to one or more existing organizations. Applicable to Employee user type only.
The employee user has visibility restrictions that can be put in place to separate concerns. Manage multiple businesses and separate employee per business.
Allow the user to view business metrics, i.e. revenue, profits, etc.
Allow the user to have a custom dashboard to view reports, create charts, etc. Requires Business Metrics to be enabled.
Allow the user to view, not modify, payment processors including credit cards gateways, PayPal accounts, etc.
Allow the user to view Google AdWords data including accounts, costs, etc.
Specific permissions can be assigned to a user. These permissions include visibility, creation and modification privileges.
