You may need to enable the Handle Card Information Directly setting in your Stripe accounts' integration settings in order for RevCent to process live credit card transactions.
Stripe began assuming that raw credit card information passed directly to its API is not handled in a secure environment. It is more of a blanket approach to increase the security of credit card data for their users who may be running insecure servers. RevCent however, communicates with the Stripe API in a highly secure and PCI compliant manner. RevCent is a PCI Level 1 Service Provider with an Attestation of Compliance from a Qualified Security Assessor (QSA).
All customer credit card data is securely stored in an air gapped private network, inaccessible via public networks. When we send a payment request to Stripe on your behalf, it is done in a stateless manner within the private network. Once the payment is processed, the credit card data is no longer stored in memory. Rest assured, enabling the Handle Card Information Directly in your Stripe account is safe, as it is RevCent who is performing the payment request with Stripe on your behalf.
Follow the instructions below to enable the Handle Card Information Directly setting. If you have any questions or need help, do not hesitate to contact us.
